While poring thorugh our traffic numbers this morning—which I recommend everyone with a business website and blog do frequently—I was struck by the volume of new readers. Let me first welcome each and every one of you and thank you for visiting BizEngine.

With so many new readers, I thought it might be time to give everyone a primer on navigating BizEngine and some of our unique features. The following is a brief how-to guide that I hope you will find useful.

Social Media and Subscription

If you’re someone who lives and dies by Facebook and Twitter, good news! You can use the little buttons in the upper right hand corner of the site to follow us on both those sites. I highly recommend it, because we hit Twitter pretty hard during the day.

If you want our headlines sent to your inbox—and really, who doesn’t?—you’ll want to click on the “Daily Dose of BizEngine” to sign up for our feed.

Comments

The comments interface is fairly straightforward. On any story that you want to discuss, you can leave a name and a comment and other posters and our authors can engage with you directly. You’ll find the commenting box at the bottom of every story.

If you’re a frequent visitor to BizEngine, you can sign up for an account that will make commenting a little easier. It’s free to do, and you’ll find the sign-up on the same area of the page as the comments.

Categories

Our navigation bar at the top of the site features five categories, a couple of which (Business Guidance and Credit Solutions) have sub-categories. If a particular topic is interesting you when you visit BizEngine, you can go into one of those categories

If you haven’t already, check out our Tools and Calculators section for resources your small business is sure to find useful. We have more on the way in the near future, as well, so stay tuned for those.

Questions or comments on the site? As always, we want to hear from you.
